THE DIRECTOR of a new film about a Dad struggling to come to terms with the murder of his daughter will reveal his secrets at a special screening event next week.
Stuart Hazeldine will be at the Showcase Cinema in Winnersh on Friday, June 16 to talk about the making of The Shack, based on the best-selling book.
In it, father-of-three Mack has his life turned upside down after his youngest child Missy dies at the hands of a serial killer. One day, the grieving dad receives a mysterious not inviting him to a meeting a cabin. Once there, he encounters three strangers who have a special gift to give him: forgiveness.
The screening has been organised by local Baptist churches and starts at 7.30pm.
The Revd Keith Wilson from Lower Earley Baptist Church said: “The film is ideal for anyone who has ever wondered who God is and what God is like.
“Guests attending will be joined by film director Stuart Hazeldine. Stuart will introduce the film and then stay on for an exclusive question and answer session.”
Tickets cost £10 and must be booked in advance by emailing minister@lowerearleybaptistchurch.org.uk – they are not on sale at the cinema.
