Wokingham Methodist Church
On Sunday, May 21, Wokingham Methodist Church is holding a special service – it’s marking its birthday. And this is not just any old date, it’s the 200th anniversary of Methodists gathering to worship in Wokingham.
There are two elements to today’s celebrations: a special service at 10.30am, and there is also an exhibition taking place showing how Methodists have worshipped in the town since 1817. This is open from noon to 4pm.
It’s the start of around 200 days’ worth of celebrations events taking place at the Rose Street church.
